I. Choosing the Right Rust-Preventive Oil

Recommended: Use a dedicated rust-preventive oil, such as F20-1 thin-layer rust-preventive oil mentioned above. It has antioxidant, moisture-heat-resistant, and salt-spray-protective properties, and can provide rust prevention for over two years indoors. Suitable for steel, copper, and other metal parts.

Alternative: Edible oil can be used. If a dedicated rust-preventive oil is unavailable, a thin layer of non-perishable vegetable oil such as tea seed oil or olive oil can be applied temporarily. Avoid using common edible oils that are prone to rancidity.

Do not use water-containing or acidic liquids: This will accelerate metal corrosion.

II. Correct Oiling Procedure

Apply oil immediately after cleaning and drying. After sharpening, the blade must first be cleaned with a non-woven cloth dampened with a neutral detergent to remove residual debris and oil. Then, dry it with compressed air to ensure the surface is completely dry before applying oil.

Apply a thin, even coat for complete coverage. Using a clean cloth, apply a small amount of rust-preventive oil thinly and evenly to the entire blade, focusing on the cutting edge, grooves, and mounting holes. Avoid an excessively thick oil film, which could affect subsequent installation and operation.

For long-term storage, strengthen protection. If the equipment is to be shut down for more than 24 hours, it is recommended to wrap the blade box with rust-proof paper or plastic film after oiling to prevent dust and moisture intrusion.

III. Daily Maintenance Recommendations. Repeat the "cleaning → drying → oiling" process after each grinding to establish a standardized maintenance habit.

Regularly check the condition of the oil film; if cracks or peeling are found, reapply oil promptly.
